An introduction to the Verv portal and its feautures

The guide walks you through the standard functionality of the Verv Portal and how it can be used.



Dashboard

The dashboard is your homepage in the portal. It includes:

  • Weather Information: Current weather in your area.
  • Cumulative Usage: Energy usage data for all your devices over various time periods (last month, last year, all-time).
  • Forecasted Usage: Predicted energy usage for the next 12 months.

All Devices Page

This page gives you an overview of all your devices, including:

  • Device Information: Serial number, nickname, and location in the building.
  • Usage Data: Last used time, total times used, and total energy used since onboarding.
  • Status Indicators: Energy efficiency status and fault prediction status.
  • Connectivity: Last message received from the device.

Compare Devices Page

Compare up to 6 devices simultaneously across different time ranges and resolutions. You can compare:

  • Total Energy Consumption
  • Energy Usage
  • Costs
  • Carbon Emissions

Additionally, you can explore data for specific dates and display it in a line or bar chart.

Map

View the location of all your devices along with summary statistics for each.

Device-Specific Tabs

  • Live Energy Usage: View live data on apparent power, current, power factor, real power, and voltage.
  • History of Usage: Similar to Compare Devices but focuses on a single device. It includes summaries of total energy used, total costs, and total carbon emitted on specific dates.
  • Energy Efficiency: Displays efficiency metrics such as energy used during standard working hours, peak hours, and building opening hours versus total energy usage. It also shows weekday versus weekend efficiency.
  • Device Settings: View and edit today's consumption, device connectivity, and appliance information.
  • Automation: Define custom times to automatically turn the device on and off.
  • Tariffs: Set custom tariffs by selecting from a list of popular suppliers and determine rates for peak and off-peak hours.
