What are the do’s and don’ts for onboarding technicians or engineers working with Verv smart devices?
To ensure a smooth and supportable onboarding process for Verv smart isolators, onboarding technicians and engineers should follow these key guidelines:
Do’s
- Always select the Verv WiFi router that provides the strongest signal strength near the smart isolator. This helps ensure a stable connection during onboarding.
- Record the exact router-device pairing for reference. For example:
Device 00000123-ITPN-GB is connected to Verv-1 router. - Take photos once the device has successfully completed onboarding. These images serve as proof and reference for future support.
- In the event of onboarding problems, take screenshots of any errors or unusual behavior. These are vital for the Verv support team to investigate and troubleshoot effectively.
Don’ts
- Do not press the user/touch sensor button for more than 10 seconds.
Doing so will reset the device, potentially disrupting onboarding and requiring a restart of the process.
