What are the system requirements for installing a Verv Connect device?

To successfully install and operate a Verv Connect device, ensure the following system components and materials are available:

Hardware Requirements:

• Verv Connect device (any of the following):

  • 3-phase smart isolator

  • Single-phase smart isolator

  • Smart plug

  • Fused spur

  • 2-module (2mod) device

Connectivity Requirements:

• WiFi Router (Indoor or Outdoor):

  • Supports 3G, 4G, or 5G connections

  • WPA-2 PSK (sometimes known as WPA-2 Personal) security protocol must be supported

  • 3G/4G/5G SIM card for mobile data connectivity

Power and Mounting Requirements:

• Power supply cable feed

• Suitable housing for mounting the router in the intended location

• Appropriate glands (20mm or 25mm) for smart isolator connections and appropriate type eg SWA/CY for armoured cable

• Adequate housing material for 3-phase smart isolator installation

• Mounting brackets (Unistrut or similar, or DIN rail in the case of 2Mod)

Ensure all components are available before beginning installation to avoid delays and ensure proper operation of the Verv system.
